Zwartkop Nature Reserve
This reserve has been developed on the picturesque banks of the Hennops River in an area of almost untouched nature near Zwartkop. The area is shady, has plenty of water and an interesting landscape.
A variety of birds can be seen here while a number of game species have been resettled, i.e. approximately 400 blesbok, springbok, impala, red hartebeest, ostrich and zebra. A network of walking trails has been laid out while the flora is being marked and identified. The reserve is well placed in terms of access roads, and offers an excellent outdoor facility for residents and tourists alike.
A lapa containing braai facilities is available, while adequate toilet facilities add to the convenience of visitors. The area can be hired for private functions - ring 671 7668 for enquiries.
