Builing Plans
Office hours: Monday to Friday from 08h30 to 13h00. Cashiers close at 15h00.
Building Plans for new buildings, additions, alterations, swimming pools, screenwalls and lean-to's should be submitted to the Building Office, at the municipal offices, for approval. The following fees are payable when plans are submitted :
- New buildings / additions / alterations fees R145
- Sewerage plan fees R 145
- Any additional costs as calculated by the Building Control Division will be payable on final approval of the plans

It takes approximately three weeks to check the plans. Appointments for inspections must be arranged telephonically on weekdays before 15h00. When building activities have been completed, application should be made for a certificate of completion.
Please note: Dumping of building rubble or materials on a pavement without prior permission of the Town Council is an offence. Sewerage connection slips are obtainable from the Building Offices. Copies of plans can be ordered from the Building Office at a set rate and can be collected after two days. A3 copies of building plans are free.
