Complaints
The Council's electricity control room is manned daily between 06:00 and 22:00. All electricity complaints can be reported at the control room. Since it is manned by one person only, it is important that consumers limit calls to the absolute minimum and necessary. During large power interruptions the two telephones are connected to answering machines to enable the control room operator to try and repair the power interruption with remote control equipment or to co-ordinate the repair work. Between 22:00 and 06:00 a radio call system is used to pass consumer complaints on to the electrician on duty. The problem can then receive immediate attention.
